Round 2 of the 09 series was at Budds Creek.  Due to all the rain the track had several soft areas which became nasty bike ruts.  For some reason most of the jumps weren't jumpable because the faces were so flat they were impossible to clear.  There was an added twist to the day b/c there was $100 holeshot award for the second moto of Quad A.  The first moto I came out the first turn in 2nd and went into the lead about 4 turns in.  With all the bike ruts you had to take it easy because it was very easy to make a mistake.  I was able to stay smooth and won the first moto.  Moto 2 I got an ok jump out of the gate and was toward the front going into the first turn.  I realized my only chance at the money was hope guys went wide and dive under them.  That theory worked and I was the first across the chalk line and got the $100 for the holeshot.  They groomed the track a little in the turns and it was a lot better the second moto.  I was able to hold and win the 2nd moto also.  All in all it was a good day.  There was 8 in the A class and a decent turnout in the other classes.  The month of May is a busy one.  There are races 5/3, 5/17, and 5/24.  Lucky for me 2 of them are at my local track so I don't have to travel much.

It sure did.  I had strict orders from my wife to get the bonus...if you want to buy this then get the holeshot!!!  LOL  The district is giving holeshot bonuses to A class and various prizes to amatuer classes this year.  They are doing extra things to add to the fun and excitement.  It cool that they are including quads in with the prizes.

Not sure yet.  There is the fall classic at Englishtown that I wouldn't mind going to.  It's a quad only race that I know would be a lot of fun.

Yeah it is.  As of now I am planning on going to Budd's Saturday and Sunday.  You planning on coming down?

For A quads it's 2 seperate races 2 motos Saturday and 2 motos Sunday.  For all other quad classes it's a 3 moto format with 2 motos Saturday and 1 moto Sunday.  I am hoping to go both days.

I will let you know.  Since it's the first race for 2010 there are guys moving up so the A class should be big which means you have to get good starts and I am average at best...I need to lose weight to gain horsepower but I like eating to much. Haha
 
Hope you get to hit more D7 races next year.  I like D13 format and tracks but the don't get the turnout of riders D7 does.  More riders means more competition.
