Delaware152 Newbies Live to Race. Posts: 35	VMP 6/13 06/01/09 at 10:36:22 Is anyone planning to go to Virginia Motorsports Park for the race on June 13? I was planning to skip this one but now I have found out they are paying extra money for the A class. Obviously that has changed my mind and I am hoping to be able to get there.

Anyway I will be there for sure since I've been practicing there so much this season.

Oh yea Im sure it will especially being a D13/D7 race together. I know the past few races @ VMP there hasnt been much of an ATV crowd but hopefully that will change. As for the track, No they havent changed anything on it. The guys that are in charge of the place now dont exactly have the brains to do anything different lol. I mean everytime Barry and Myself are there practicing the guys constantly ask us if we want to change anything or dress it up at all while were out there.

I am sure there will be a decent crowd there this year. The d7 races are probably averaging 75 riders or so. I think there have been two groups of C at every race and around 15 in the B class. A class is around 7-10 guys. VMP is a haul for most of the D7 guys but it's early in the year and a lot of guys like the Sat format instead of sitting around all days with bikes on Sunday.

Yea the few D7 races we had last year with you guys drew a decent bunch out also between VMP and Southfork. Another thing is the ATVA National race is at Unadilla this weekend too so a few might go there.

Right now i'm sketchy if i'm even going to race after my wreck Sat. at Southfork. I got crossed up in a wet spot and flipped a few times. So im still pretty sore but we will see how the week goes.

I'm actually going to pull my quad at here at the house and play around in the field and see how I feel.

Well my day started out pretty good, I felt great in practice with no problems from last weekends wreck. Race practice was really good also. First moto i jumped everyone off the line but got tangled up in the first corner puttin me in the back of the pack having to play catch-up. I figured i'de be patient and work my way through the pack which was working out good untill on lap 2 coming across some braking bumps my right front spindle snapped in half. Soo that ended my day very quickly, oh well tho, nuts happens.

JT, yall had a pretty big group for the $$$ race and some fast guys! Suprised me to see Harrison come up from NC.

I didn't get a chance to see your 1st moto b/c I was catching my breath from my first moto. I saw you left after the first moto so I figured something broke on your bike. My start killed me the first moto and that track isn't the easiest to pass on. My dad told me it looked like I wasn't on the gas until they threw the white by mistake and then we raced 3 more laps. I caught the from 3 but they were on the gas and I was done by the time I caught them. Second moto it was Harris, 36 and me. About halfway 36 messed up and hit a tire so I got around him. On the next to the last lap I passed Harris and won the second moto. I wasn't happy with my first moto but I messed up the holeshot and those guys were on the gas. I ended up with good money so it was worth going.

Yea man, I didnt see any reason to hang around since my day was done. I think the chances of finding a spindle and brake caliper were very slim lol.

Yea I saw them throw the white by mistake, so i know that had to mess everyone up. I know what you mean about it being a hard track to pass on, I made my 1st move in the rythme on the outside, then after the teardrop trable hung the outside and ran it deep to pass a few more. Hey at least it was worth the $$ to come down and make that extra $$. Good job tho.
